My experience over Obstetrics "Is a hormonal IUD effected by meds that effect birth control pills?"

I (23F) just found out that my mood stabilizer I’ve been taking for 5 years decreases the efficacy of hormonal birth control.

I have a Mirena, does it mess that up too? Someone on the birth control sub said it localized hormone so it doesn’t.

Luckily I only lost my virginity recently and have used condoms every time. I need hormonal birth control to help manage my horrible periods (and likely endometriosis) so changing isn’t an option.
