Obstetrics - Mass on labia, starting to freak out

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Mass on labia, starting to freak out"

I have a growing mass on my outer labia. I’ve been researching online but I’m at a loss for what it could be. It is irregularly shaped, running from the top to bottom of the vulva. It’s about a pencil in thickness but in one spot more sharpie size, then splits into two more pencil-y branches. It doesn’t move under my skin, and feels like a vein in terms of firmness.

I feel like it’s something I’ve come across before and cast it aside like occasional boob lumpiness, but in the past 2-3 weeks it seems to have grown significantly and is hurting throughout the day. Warm compresses have not helped.

At first I thought it was a bartholin cyst but it’s too high up I think, and also seems like cysts are usually round and this is very much not.

I have an appointment with my GYN on Monday for an IUD placement check up, and I will definitely be asking her to check. Would really appreciate any ideas in the interim, because the closest thing I’ve found online so far is vulval cancer. Of course I’m always wary of self-diagnosing from the internet, but this one is really scaring me. I am 29F.
