Obstetrics - Question about mense cycle:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Question about mense cycle"

This might be a silly question (please only answer if you are an obgyn or have a legitimate scientific understanding of how this works, I don’t just want opinions. Thanks:)

I am wondering if, since it can take between typically 4 to 7 days for the uterus to shed its lining during the menstrual bleeding portion of the cycle, is there anything I can do that might increase the frequency of uterine contractions to shorten my cycle and make the shedding go more quickly? Like herbal teas that tone the uterus (have a abortifacient properties if taken when pregnant)- could these intensify uterine contractions and shorten the length of time I spend bleeding? Thanks
