My experience over Obstetrics "Effects of binge drinking while pregnant"

Hi. This isn’t about me but someone I know. She conceived and then was drinking pretty heavy within the first month of being pregnant. And then she was good but then at 3 months pregnant she had a night of binge drinking and got blackout drunk. There may have been one more time but not sure. Anyway.. The baby was born 2 1/2 months early, seems to be okay so far but are there issues that could arise later on even if the baby seems to be healthy right now? Any long term effects that may not be noticed right now? Did the drinking have anything to do with the preterm birth?
