Obstetrics - Can PCOS not appear in pelvic US but appear in transvaginal US?:Health care

What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Can PCOS not appear in pelvic US but appear in transvaginal US?"

I used to have regular cycles of 30 days but for the last two cycles, one was 5 days late and the current one is late for 15 days (and still no sign). Today I was diagnosed with PCOS using transvaginal US. I find it weird because I did two pelvic US in the past and was clear with no follicles. Is it possible? or should I be concerned that it's not actually a PCOS but something else?
