My experience over Obstetrics "Is that supposed to be like that??"

Hello! I have a weird time when trying to stick anything up there. It feels like there is something hard in the vaginal wall that is in the way. When I try to insert a tampon, I have to stick it down, then pivot to try and get around it, and when I stick my finger up there, it feels like there's something hard right at the entrance so there isnt a whole lot of space right there, but as soon as you get past it there's a whole lot of room. According to diagrams it seems like there's supposed to be that much room all the way up to the entrance? As it is if I were to try to put anything... "larger"... (which I have no interest in, I'm not into guys, but theoretically it should be physically possible), it seems like it just would hit that and wouldn't get any further. Is it supposed to be like that or do I need to actually go in to see an OBGYN? I'm 20 and I've never been before.

Quick edit with info I forgot to add: I've always assumed it was normal because its been there as long as I can remember, this isn't a new thing.
