What is "Obstetrics " ?

Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.

My experience over Obstetrics "Weird question"

So, I'm not sure if this is the place to ask this, but I'm just curious about a random thought I've had. I know women are born with the number of eggs they have and shed one each period. But what about women who have a ton of kids from a young age? They would have significantly less periods than other women. How does this resolve itself?
